Simeon Vasilev

Simeon Vasilev came through Levski Sofia's academy before switching to CSKA 1948 in 2021, working his way up through the club's third and reserve sides before making his senior debut in 2023. He picked up a Bulgarian Third League title with CSKA 1948 III along the way, and by the 2023–24 season was involved in the club's run to the Bulgarian Cup final, though CSKA 1948 came up short against CSKA Sofia.

His clearest moment came in a Europa Conference League tie against Budućnost Podgorica in July 2024, when he set up the winning goal — only to pick up an injury that kept him out of the following match against Pafos. Vasilev plays on the left side of defence despite being right-footed, a detail even as he is generally listed among Bulgarian outlets as a left-back.

He spent the 2024–25 campaign on loan at Septemvri Sofia before returning to CSKA 1948, and has since moved on to Arda Kardzhali on a free transfer after his contract expired. Alongside his club career, Vasilev has progressed through Bulgaria's youth international set-up, representing the country at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-21 level, including appearances in Under-21 qualifiers for the 2025 and 2027 European Championships.
