Trent John Alexander-Arnold

Trent Alexander-Arnold grew up in West Derby, in Liverpool, and joined the club's academy at the age of six after being spotted at a half-term camp, having previously played for Country Park. He signed his first professional contract in November 2016 and made his senior debut that October, in a 2–1 League Cup win over Tottenham Hotspur.

He holds the record for the most assists by a defender in Premier League history, and set a Guinness World Record for the most assists by a defender in a single Premier League match, with three against Watford. That output brought him the PFA Young Player of the Year award in 2019–20, the Premier League Young Player of the Season prize the same year, and places in the PFA Team of the Year on three occasions, as well as selection for the FIFA FIFPro Men's World 11 in 2020.

With Liverpool he reached a Champions League final, finishing runner-up in 2017–18, and an FA Cup final, finishing runner-up in 2023–24. He earned his first England cap in June 2018 against Costa Rica and went on to represent his country at the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, though injury ruled him out of Euro 2020; he later reached the final of Euro 2024 with England.

In May 2025, with his Liverpool contract due to expire, Alexander-Arnold left the club a month early to sign for Real Madrid on a six-year deal, joining in time to play in the Club World Cup.
