Vitalie Becker

Vitalie Becker made his senior debut for Schalke 04 on 1 August 2025, starting in a 2. Bundesliga fixture against Hertha BSC that Schalke won 1-0. The appearance capped a steady rise through the club's academy: born in Bottrop, he started out at SV Zweckel before moving into Schalke's youth system, where he signed his first professional contract in February 2024, running to 2027.

Before that debut, Becker spent the 2024-25 season with Schalke's second team in the Regionalliga West, making 16 appearances and scoring once. That campaign in the reserves preceded his step up to the first team, where he has continued to feature. In the 2025-26 season, Becker was part of the Schalke squad that won the 2. Bundesliga title, securing promotion to the Bundesliga.

His development was already well marked at youth level. Becker won the German B-Junioren (U17) Championship and the B-Junioren-Bundesliga West title with Schalke in 2022, results that reflected the strength of the age group he came through. He has since been capped by Germany at various youth levels: eight appearances for the U17 side, five for the U19s, and four for the U20 team.

Becker's early years followed a familiar path for a Ruhr-area talent — SV Zweckel, before Schalke's academy took over his development.
