4 De Mayo

The club took the day of its founding, 4 May 1989, as its title and, by Futparaguay's account, has never used another one. Local reports make do with "el 4" or the fuller "4 de Mayo de Capiibary".

Within that departmental football, the record is thorough: four straight Liga Deportiva Capiibary titles, 2015 to 2018, followed by the Copa de Campeones San Pedro that same year. The next season brought a second final in that cup, lost to Porvenir Fútbol Club.

The Copa Paraguay is the only competition that puts 4 de Mayo, representing San Pedro, in the same bracket as clubs from Asunción. Its history there runs to one win and one loss, which as of 2026 is enough for 79th place on the tournament's all-time table — a small enough sample that the win itself, in 2018, was reason for Capiibary's municipality to declare a public holiday for its supporters.

Matches are still played at the Estadio Club 4 de Mayo, a ground that holds 1,000, in the same San Pedro town where the club's four league titles were all won.
