Carpi is a town in the province of Modena.
Cristiano Giuntoli arrived as sporting director in 2009, with the club in Serie D, and left in 2015 with it in Serie A.
Fabrizio Castori took the side up from Serie B as champions in 2015. The reward exposed the ground: Stadio Sandro Cabassi holds 5,510 and did not meet the requirements of the top flight, so the 2015/16 season was played at the Stadio Alberto Braglia in Modena, twenty kilometres away. Kevin Lasagna finished as the club's leading scorer that year with five goals in 36 matches — a figure that says as much about the season as any table.
The company that runs the club now is younger than the badge. Founded in 2021 as Athletic Carpi, it bought the name, the history and the assets of the bankrupt Carpi F.C. 1909 on 13 September 2022, and took the red and white back with them.
The year on the crest is 1909, when the town first put a football club of its own together.
