Aubagne

Entente Aubagnaise, Jeunesse Sportive Aubagnaise and SO Charrel Aubagne merged in 1989 to form what became Sporting Club Aubagne Air Bel, and the club has kept absorbing neighbours ever since: in May 2025 it took in SC Air Bel, a youth club from the Air Bel district of Marseille whose academy had already sent Wesley Fofana to Chelsea and Mohamed Simakan to RB Leipzig.

The breakthrough came in 2023–24, when the club won Championnat National 2 Group A and went up to the National, the third tier, for the first time in its history.

The Stade de Lattre-de-Tassigny holds around 1,200, and crowds in the National have run to roughly 600 — thin for third-tier football, though the ground has hosted better days: in 2020–21 Aubagne reached the last 16 of the Coupe de France before Toulouse ended the run. Locally the games that matter come against Marignane-Gignac-Côte Bleue, Martigues and Toulon, though none of the three has settled into a fixed derby.

Promotion has not yet been matched by staying power at that level, and a club that spent most of its history in regional football is still finding out what it takes to hold a place in the National.
