Bochnia

Bochnia's fiercest fixture is against Okocimski Brzesko.

The club traces back to 1919, when Henryk Reguła set up TS Bochnia; the present name and structure date to 1921, and the nicknames that survived all of it, "Ekipa z Solnego Grodu" and its variants, point at the same thing: Bochnia's salt mine.

The high point on the pitch came in 1962, as Górnik Bochnia, when the club reached the Round of 16 of the Polish Cup — and was beaten 13-1 by Szombierki Bytom. Among those who came through the club, Marek Kusto stands out: a silver medallist with the Polish national team in 1974 and 1982 during his time at Wisła Kraków and Legia Warszawa, he later returned to Bochnia as coach.

Promotion has proved easier to win than to hold. BKS went up to the III Liga in 2011/12 only to be relegated back down two seasons later, and a further drop to the V Liga followed in 2021/22. They answered with an immediate promotion back to the IV Liga in 2022/23, and that is the level — the Małopolska East group — where they play now.
