Córdoba II

Córdoba II sit in the Tercera Federación this season after dropping out of the Segunda Federación in 2024–25. The reserve side has lived that cycle before: promoted to Segunda División B in 2013–14 and again in 2016–17, relegated back down within a year both times.

The one campaign the club still points to is 2015–16, when Pablo Villanueva's side won the Tercera División group and went through the play-offs against CF Lorca Deportiva to go up.

Before any of that it was a different club altogether. Founded in 1951 as Club Atlético Almagro, it passed through Club Deportivo Guardia de Franco and Club Atlético Cordobés before settling, in 1975, into the role it still plays: Córdoba's second team, tied to the first XI's white and green.

Matches are mostly played at the Ciudad Deportiva Rafael Gómez, a 3,000-capacity ground a long way removed from the Nuevo Arcángel the first team calls home, though the B side has turned out there too on occasion. Sebas Moyano went through the age groups here on his way to 156 appearances and 25 goals. Diego Tristán now has the job of getting this group out of Tercera Federación and back to where the 2016 side once took it.
