The team started life as Dublanc Sports Club, then Dublanc Strikers, before settling on Dublanc FC, and it plays under a badge marked with a blue marlin — a mark that gave the side its nickname, the Sharks.

Dublanc Strikers took the title in 2005, then the club returned to the top under its current name in 2016 and 2017, and again for three straight seasons from 2023 to 2025.

Across the parish, Portsmouth Bombers wait for the North Derby. Beyond the island, the Sharks have taken that domestic weight into the CFU Club Shield, reaching the semi-finals in 2024 before a fourth-place finish, then returning for the group stage in 2025.

What keeps the club at that level is less the trophies than who wears the shirt on the way to the national team. Goalkeeper Glenson Prince has earned 79 caps for Dominica, and he built that record having come through Dublanc. Midfielder Briel Thomas, with 56 caps, is cut from the same mould — a Dublanc player first, a national regular because of it.

The ground, the DFA Technical Center Stadium, holds 2,000.
