Escola Varsovia U19

The pitches on ul. Fleminga in Tarchomin are the closest thing the club has to a home. There is no turnstile, no stand with a capacity worth quoting — the address houses the offices and the main training ground, and the U19 side plays its Central Youth League fixtures there rather than at a ground borrowed for match days. When the pitches are full, sessions spread out to Bemowo and Ursynów, on the other side of Warsaw.

The place exists because of an agreement signed in 2011: the first FC Barcelona Escola in Europe, run out of Warsaw by a non-profit operator. That link ended in 2023. The name shed the Catalan half, and the staff stayed on Fleminga.

What the academy has instead of honours is a list of players who left it. Marcin Bułka went from these pitches to Chelsea as a goalkeeper. Balthazar Pierret ended up at OGC Nice.

The senior results are thinner. Fifth in the Central Youth League U19 in the 2024/25 season is the best the club has managed, and there are no national titles at that age group. Nor are there derbies: nobody in Warsaw has built up a grievance against an academy, and the fixtures come without the history that adds an edge elsewhere.

So the audience on Fleminga is what an audience at a youth ground usually is — parents along the touchline, coaches from other clubs, and the occasional scout who has heard a name.
