Gaziantep U19

Regional matches against Hatayspor and Adana Demirspor carry weight beyond three points at Gaziantep Stadyumu, framed locally as a "bölge derbisi" that draws on the city's football identity rather than any single trophy run. That identity has passed through several hands. The academy structure now producing the U19 side traces to a club founded in 1988 as Sankospor, renamed Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor in 1999, rebranded again as Gazişehir Gaziantep Futbol Kulübü in 2017, and settled on Gaziantep FK only in 2019 — a separate line from the old Gaziantepspor, which folded in 2020 after carrying the city's colours for decades before that.

Those colours, red, black and white, stayed attached to the city through every rebrand, which is partly why the current setup can still call itself "Şahinler," the Falcons, without the nickname feeling borrowed.

The U19 side plays in the TFF U19 Elite League and has produced players who made the step up rather than titles to point to. Goalkeeper Mustafa Burak Bozan pushed through to a regular first-team place before moving on to Amed Sportif Faaliyetler, and defender Ahmet Buğra Güven followed a similar path out of the same youth setup.

None of that traces back to any ground of its own or a founding date attached to the U19 side directly — it runs instead on the age-grade structure built up around the senior club since 1988, the same year the whole project under its various names began.
