SV Gloggnitz spent two seasons in the 1950s. The Lower Austrian Landesliga title of 1948/49, paired with the NÖ-Cup that same season, carried the club into the Staatsliga A, and in 1949/50 they finished 11th in the country's top flight.

A 1971 merger with ASK FEZ Gloggnitz produced ASK SV FEZ Gloggnitz before the original name was restored, and the women's section built a separate story: promotion to the Frauen-Bundesliga after the 2004/05 title, achieved for three seasons as a joint side with SC Wiener Neustadt.

Stefan Bliem is the name attached to the modern club — through the youth ranks from 1990 to 2001, back later as player and coach, and captain through the recent run of promotions.
