Greenwich Borough

Mohamed Eisa spent two seasons in Eltham, scoring 52 goals in 81 league appearances between 2015 and 2017 and leaving for Cheltenham Town on the back of it before moving into the professional game.

The club began life in 1928 as Woolwich Borough Council Athletic Club, took the name London Borough of Greenwich after boundary changes in 1965, and settled on Greenwich Borough in 1980. For most of that time the identity was tied to one ground: Harrow Meadow, home from 1937 to 2009, where 2,000 people once turned out for a friendly against Charlton Athletic in 1978. After 2009 the club never had a settled home again, moving through Oakley Road in Bromley, Princes Park in Dartford, and back to Eltham at the Badgers Sports Ground before finishing at Phoenix Sports Ground in Barnehurst.

The crest carries cannon barrels drawn from the Greenwich coat of arms, which gave the club its nickname, the Cannons.

It ended in 2020, not through relegation but through a legal and financial dispute with the landlords at Badgers Sports Ground, Cray Valley Paper Mills — the same name behind Cray Valley (PM), the club Greenwich Borough had come to regard as their fiercest local rival. A successor, A.F.C. Greenwich Borough, was formed in 2023.
