La Calamine FC

The fixture that gives La Calamine its local edge is the "Derby des PandaYoungsters", played against the reserve side of KAS Eupen. Eupen sit in the same East Cantons region of Liège province, and the reserves carry the panda name of their parent club. Stade Verviétois and RFC Raeren-Eynatten also count as neighbours to beat.

Kelmis, called La Calamine in French, is a small border municipality, and Les Verts, in green and white, play out of Stade Prince Philippe with room for 4,000. The club's date of birth was once a matter of argument. Papers from 1925 and pre-war records pointed to 1904. The Belgian FA settled on 1923 when the club applied for the "Royal" title in 1954, and it has been Royal Football Club Union La Calamine since.

The best stretch came in the third tier. La Calamine won the fourth-division Promotion title in 2003–04 and went up. They stayed until 2009, and finished third in 2005–06, their highest placing at that level. A second Promotion title in 2010–11 brought them back, and they remained in the third division until 2016.

Two players passed through on their way to more. François Sterchele was at the club in 2004–05, then became top scorer in the Belgian First Division in 2006–07 and won caps for Belgium. Mario Mutsch began his career here and went on to captain Luxembourg, with more than 100 caps. Didier Ernst, a former Standard Liège captain and Belgian international, coached the club from 2011 to 2012, in the first season after the second promotion.

Since the drop out of the third division in 2016, La Calamine have played below it.
