The one title that took the team out of the region came in 2009, when Magdeburger FFC won the Regionalliga Nordost. Alongside that ran a long run in the DFB-Pokal — 27 appearances, and a first last-16 in 2004.
On 1 January 2024 the club stopped existing on its own. Magdeburger FFC merged into the men's 1. FC Magdeburg, and the team became 1. FC Magdeburg (Frauen) , playing in blue and white. Home games stay at the Heinrich-Germer-Stadion.
That remains the season's clearest marker: win the Saxony-Anhalt cup, take the national draw, and see how far a Heinrich-Germer crowd can push the tie.
