Mariendorfer Ballspiel Club 1906 was founded on June 1, 1906. In 1985 it joined SC Mariendorf, formerly SC Krampe, to form Mariendorfer SV 06. On July 1, 2016 that club merged with its neighbour Tempelhofer SV Helgoland 1897, and the result is today's Tempelhofer SV Mariendorf 1897. Locally it is still called MSV 06 or simply TSV Mariendorf.
The best result came in the 1998/99 season, when the side finished runners-up in the Verbandsliga Berlin, the fifth tier. A women's team also played in the DFB-Pokal in 1986/87 and went out in the first round.
Home games are played in the Volkspark Mariendorf. The Volksparkstadion holds 9,000, but the club normally uses the side pitches, Nebenplatz 1 with room for 1,000 and Nebenplatz 2 with 500.
The merged club's chess department has won regional awards, while the football section remains in the lower local leagues.
