Nýrsko's football side still carries the name of the works it grew out of.
That separation is the closest thing the club has to a founding date. On 21 December 1990 the football section broke off from TJ RH Okula Nýrsko, which then carried on under a different name, and the newer body, TJ Nýrsko, took the game forward on its own.
Its one clear mark on a table came in the 2007/08 season, when the club, playing as SKP Okula Nýrsko, won the I.B. třída of the Plzeň Region. Since then the side has stayed in regional and lower divisions, never reaching the Divize.
