«I Canarini»
Scafatese have been yellow and blue since 1922, and the supporters call the team I Canarini. In 1941 they won promotion to Serie C by beating Avellino 15–0. They played in Serie B in 1946–47 and 1947–48 and finished fourth in the first of those seasons. The midfielder Fulvio Nesti was in that side. He left in 1948 for SPAL and then Inter Milan, and went to the 1954 World Cup with Italy. By 1949 money troubles forced a withdrawal from Serie C after 11 games.
In 2010 the club collapsed and restarted in the Terza Categoria, the seventh tier. The original name came back in 2015, and in 2022 the club became SSD Scafatese 1922. In the latest of these restarts, Scafatese took over the sporting title of San Marzano to get back into Serie D.
That paid off in 2025–26. They then took the Serie D national title, the Scudetto, with a 6–0 win over Vado in the final. Ciro Muro coaches the side and Pietro Fusco is sporting director; both came through the Napoli youth system.
