Sevenoaks Town

Rob Quinn arrived in 2010–11 as player-coach, having played for Crystal Palace and the Republic of Ireland under-21 side. JJ Hooper went on to Northampton Town, Port Vale and Grimsby Town, and Joey Taylor won caps for Montserrat.

The club he joined had been through several changes of identity. The original Sevenoaks F.C., formed in 1883, was a founder member of the Kent League in 1894 and left after one season. It folded in 1938 under financial pressure and the approach of war, and reformed in 1946. A merger with St. John's United in 1951 produced Sevenoaks United, and the name became Sevenoaks Town in 1965. A merger with Sevenoaks Social in 1975 gave one season as Sevenoaks Town Social. The club reverted to Sevenoaks in 1976 and took "Town" back for good in 1991.

The best years came late. A 3G pitch was laid at Greatness Park in June 2017, and that season the club won the Southern Counties East League Premier Division Challenge Cup. In 2017–18 it won the league itself. That title took it into the Isthmian League South East Division, at Step 4 the highest level it has reached. In the FA Cup, the 2021–22 and 2022–23 campaigns both ended in the fourth qualifying round against Ebbsfleet United. The first went to a replay. In the second, Sevenoaks had beaten Kingstonian and Bath City to get that far.

The local fixture is the A21 derby against Tunbridge Wells. In June 2025 the club secured nearly £1.8 million for a new clubhouse and community pavilion at the ground.
