Tajikistan U20 Women

Yusuf Rabiev took charge of Tajikistan's under-20 women midway through 2022 and has kept the post since. His predecessor, Ildar Rakhmanov, was in the dugout for the team's first appearance on record: the inaugural CAFA U-20 Women's Championship, staged in Dushanbe in June 2021. Tajikistan lost all four games there and finished bottom of the table.

The federation gave the squad no separate identity to go with the results — no nickname, no crest of its own, just the senior body's badge and a kit of red at home, white away, taken straight from the flag. What the team has collected instead is a pair of Fair Play awards, one from that first CAFA tournament and another from the 2026 edition in Gissar and Dushanbe, where the same pattern held: defeats to Iran, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, no points, last place again.

Between those two tournaments the age group had already been tested elsewhere, losing out in AFC U-19 qualifying groups in 2012 and 2019 without taking a win. The 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, played in Bahrain in September 2026, broke that run: a 4–1 win over Afghanistan followed a 2–3 loss to the hosts.

Home fixtures, when there are any, go to the Central Republican Stadium in Dushanbe, a 24,000-seat ground the team shares with the rest of Tajik football. It was there, in June 2021, that this side first took the field.
