Unirea Dmo

Stadionul Hațeg is a modest ground the club shares with local rival CSO Retezatul Hațeg.

The club came together on 24 August 2023, playing in black and blue. A play-off against Viitorul Severin, settled 4–1, took Unirea DMO into Liga III for 2025–26 — a fourth promotion in three seasons.

Technical director Daniel Bona has overseen that climb from the county's lower divisions into national third-tier football.

Beyond the derby with Retezatul, played out on the same Hațeg turf, the club's other measure of itself in the county is CS Gloria Geoagiu. Unirea DMO's rise has been plotted mostly in Hunedoara's own competitions rather than against outside company, and Stadionul Hațeg, small as it is, remains the fixed point through all four of those promotions.
