Vestec

Vestec's nearest rival plays in the next village. SK Slavia Jesenice sits close enough that fixtures between the two are treated as local derbies. Viktoria, as the club is known around Vestec, has spent most of its history well below the levels where such things carry weight beyond the district — currently it competes in the Central Bohemian Regional Championship, the seventh tier of Czech football.

The club took shape in 1932, when Václav Jirák, Vojtěch Vrbovec and František Tuček signed on as chairman, secretary and treasurer. It kept the Viktoria name until the early 1950s, when the socialist reorganisation of sport renamed it Baník; it reverted to Viktoria Vestec in 1958 and has carried that name since. Its best spell came in the 1990s, when Libor Bauer and Milan Hladil took the side up through the 2nd class in 1995 and into the 1st B class the following season, though winning the 4.A třída in 2009/10 with 67 points brought another promotion and a runners-up finish in the III. třída the year after.

Football at this level does not usually make the news, which is part of why October 1983 is still remembered: Josef Rys, a Vestec player, died during a match. Decades later, in 2026/27, the club got a rare taste of the wider game, drawing FK Benešov in the MOL Cup and losing 2:4.

Matches are still played on Hřiště Vestec, a ground that holds 1,000, in green and white, with youth, women's and three senior sides now turning out under the same badge in a village where the football club is, for most people, the only one there is.
