Avant Training Centre

The Avant Training Centre is not a cathedral of football, but it has its own rhythm. It was established in 1995 when Norwich City moved from their old Trowse site, and it has shifted shape since then. The facility went through a major redevelopment in 2018, and a new branding as the Lotus Training Centre arrived in the autumn of 2021. The current name, Avant Training Centre, followed a sponsorship agreement with a Finnish manufacturer in 2023.

The ground serves as the home for the Under-21s and Under-18s squads. A small stand was added in 2017 to hold spectators for these fixtures, and the capacity sits at 1,000. The site covers a fair amount of territory. It holds six full-size pitches, including outdoor surfaces and an indoor dome. The architectural work for the recent expansions was handled by LSI Architects.

Norwich City’s Under-21s have used the venue for the Norfolk Senior Cup finals. The academy side also plays regular matches in the Premier League 2 against clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, and West Ham United. Most of these games are played behind closed doors, so the stands rarely fill up. The main first-team pitch has its own 150-seat stand, separate from the youth area. The exact surface type is not explicitly confirmed, though natural rainwater is used for irrigation.
