There is no permanent home team officially listed for the stadium, which gives the pitch a shifting character depending on the week.

It opened in 1989 as a municipal sports facility, built by the Maltepe municipality. His contributions to the facility were significant enough to warrant the change, but the work on the pitch remains straightforward.

Recent years have brought a different kind of pressure. A petition from February 2024, titled 'Say No to the Demolition of Tuncay Karartı Stadium', revealed that the building faces potential demolition. The facility has floodlights and hosts matches from Istanbul's local leagues, but nothing more.
