Buca Arena

The buca arena sits in the Buca district of izmir.

It opened in 2009, though the number does not carry much weight. The ground was built to replace the old stadium at Org. Çevik Bir Meydanı, which had reached the end of its useful life. The architect is Cemil Şeboy, and the cost of construction was 14,500,000 TL.

The capacity was 6,500 when the stadium first saw a match. They added stands and a press tribune, and the capacity stretched to 8,810. The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) confirmed the number, and it has stayed there since. Bucaspor 1928 plays there now, having taken over from the original Bucaspor in 2019.

The first match was against Çorumspor, a win 1-0 on January 18, 2009. The surface is natural grass. It is distinct from the İzmir Arena and Karşıyaka Arena, which are different venues in the city. The address is Yavuz Sultan Selim Caddesi, Cumhuriyet Mahallesi, Buca, İzmir.
