Choa Chu Kang Stadium

Choa Chu Kang Stadium sits at 1 Choa Chu Kang Street 53, a facility that has hosted everything from international football to political rallies. It is part of the wider Choa Chu Kang Sports and Recreation Complex, owned by Sport Singapore and operated by ActiveSG. The ground opened on March 1, 2001, designed by the architects Elton-Roade.

The venue is perhaps best known as the long-term home of Warriors FC, who played here from the stadium’s opening until 2018. The club left briefly in 2015 for the SEA Games before returning. Since then, the pitch has seen a different kind of life. In 2024, it hosted every match of the Women’s Premier League, though the surface—supplied from Switzerland as a self-watering system—was later criticised for being uneven and sandy. The attendance record for the ground is not fixed in public memory; figures for specific football matches have hovered between 2,085 and 2,356.

Before it was a regular home, the stadium played host to the Women’s Rugby Sevens tournament during the 2015 SEA Games, where Thailand secured the title. It also served as a training base for Inter Milan during their 2019 pre-season for the International Champions Cup. On the international stage, it has witnessed Singapore’s 4–1 victory over the Philippines on January 7, 2007, and a 2–0 win against India on October 16, 2012. The capacity stands at 4,268, a figure that was adjusted from the original 4,000 recorded at its opening, though no major structural changes drove that shift.
