The floodlights, installed during the refurbishment between 2022 and 2023, stand ready to light the evening fixtures.
Opened in December 2010 to host the 39th Thailand National Games, the stadium has served as the home for Chonburi FC since 2011. It replaced the older Chonburi Municipal Stadium, offering a newer, all-seated environment. The venue's identity has shifted with its sponsors; it opened as Chonburi Stadium, became Chonburi UTA Stadium, and adopted the current name in August 2024.
International football has found its way here. The national team used the ground for friendlies against Nepal and Suriname in March 2022. It also hosted matches for the 2019 AFC U-16 Women's Championship and is scheduled to stage games for the 2025 SEA Games Women's Tournament. During the 2026 ASEAN Championship, it served as the home venue for Timor-Leste.
The capacity is listed as 8,680, though some records show 8,600. The highest recorded crowd was 8,656 for a match against Muang Thong United in March 2013.
