Estádio Aníbal Torres Costa

Aníbal Torres Costa sits in the Santo André neighbourhood of Tubarão, Santa Catarina.

The ground was built in 1955, according to the majority of local sources, though some records point to an earlier date in the forties. It was designed by Aníbal Torres Costa, an engineer who left his name on the structure rather than the fans. For decades it stood as the home of Hercílio Luz Futebol Clube, a side founded in 1918. The 1974 flood in Tubarão did more than damage the city; it took a chunk of the stadium with it, and the reconstruction in the eighties was funded by the town rather than the club.

In 2018 the real estate company 3-Sm Administração de Bens bought the property for R$ 12 million, but Hercílio Luz stayed on, retaining their right to play there. The most recent major occasion was the 2017 Campeonato Catarinense Série B Final, which the hosts won 1-0 against Jaraguá Esporte Clube. The address is listed as Av.
