Heritage Park

The ground sits on land once worked by coal miners, and its name nods to the industry that built the town. Heritage Park opened in October 2010, replacing Kingsway Stadium, which had been the home of Bishop Auckland F.C. since 1886 before its main stand was deemed unsafe in 2001. The old site was later redeveloped for housing, though a pitch remains for local cricket.

Construction began in November 2009, financed in part by a £250,000 grant from the Football Stadia Improvement Scheme (FSIF) and a bequest from a supporter. The final capacity settled at 1,950, with 500 seats, far below the original ambition for a 10,000-capacity site at an alternative location. The pitch, natural grass, has undergone several renovation cycles, including a major drainage and irrigation project in 2015/2016 funded by further FSIF money and private donation, followed by additional work in 2017 costing £52,000.

It hosts FA Cup qualifying rounds and FA Vase matches, and occasionally friendlies. The official attendance record is 2,004, set in August 2012 when Darlington F.C. groundshared here after leaving their own stadium.
