Kanseki Stadium Tochigi stands where the Utsunomiya Racecourse once ran. The concrete bowl opened on July 23, 2020, replacing the old Tochigi Green Stadium, a soccer-specific ground built in 1993. The new arena sits inside the Tochigi Prefectural Sports Park, a complex built for the 77th National Sports Festival, which hosted its opening ceremony here in October 2022. The main difference from the old venue is the running track; the new stadium is a multi-purpose facility, not a pure football ground.
The name comes from a sponsorship deal with Kanseki Co., Ltd., a construction firm, though the official title remains the Tochigi Prefectural Sports Park Athletic Field. The stadium is managed by the Tochigi Sports Association, and no other professional club calls it home. The first J.League match took place on December 16, 2020, against JEF United Chiba. The surface is natural grass, maintained for both football and athletics.
