Kepez Hasan Doğan Stadı

They say a ground is defined by its neighbours. The rest of the pitch is green, and the grass is natural.

The stadium sits in the Kepez district, which is where the name comes from. It belongs to the Kepez Municipality, and that fact explains the simple renovation they carried out in June 2015. They replaced the field and repaired the tribunes, keeping the place in play for the local side, Kepezspor. The club has been around since 1995 and plays in the Turkish Third League.

There is a difference in the way the place is used. On one day in July 2012, the Yörük Turkish Folk Festival moved in. The grass was not for football that day, but for traditional music and dance, a cultural event that would not fit inside a town hall. The same surface is where the Amputee Football Super Cup Final took place in February 2025, and where a tournament for the Fenerbahçe Academy was held a year later. The ground is not a temple of football, but it is a place for sport in the district. The mayor mentioned plans for a 10,000-seat stadium in 2016, but those plans do not seem to have materialised. The old stands remain.
