The ground sits at the centre of As-Salt. It is the place where **Al-Salt SC** has played its home matches since **1965**.
The facility is part of a larger sports complex, though the stadium itself is the most prominent structure within it. The playing surface is natural grass.
Unlike the artificial turf at the Al-Aqaba Stadium in Aqaba, which opened in 2017, this ground has retained its traditional surface. A new international stadium is planned for Amra City near Amman, but that is a separate entity and does not affect this venue.
The stadium’s history is tied to the city. The club has not changed its home, and the ground has not changed its purpose.
