Shawe View sits quietly on Pennybridge Lane, a ground that has seen its role shift more than once without losing its shape. It served as a training facility for Manchester City and Salford's rugby league team before becoming Trafford's permanent home. The club formed in 1990 and played at the venue since its inception, having shared the site with the Trafford Borough Rugby League Club before that.

The playing surface is natural grass, but the most striking feature is the new clubhouse with a bar and kitchen built in 1993. This project involved demolishing 40-year-old portable buildings and replacing them with modern, purpose-built facilities. The rebuild was necessitated by the substandard condition of the previous facilities and the club's growing youth setup.

Significant improvements were made in 1993, including the installation of floodlights and a stand. The project also included upgrading floodlights to energy-efficient LED units and installing solar panels on the new roof. These changes transformed what was once a shared rugby and football space into something distinctly Trafford's own.

The official record attendance at Shawe View is 1,374, set on August 10 during a Northern Premier League Premier Division match between Trafford F.C. and FC United of Manchester. While some sources mention a higher figure of 1,717 for a 2006-07 fixture, the club's official records and multiple independent sources cite the 2013 figure as the official record.

Grounds like this one do not make headlines. They exist to serve the community around them, and Shawe View has done that steadily for three decades. The capacity holds 2,500 spectators, but most days the numbers fall well short of that. What matters here is not size but continuity.
