Singha Chiangrai Stadium

Singha Chiangrai Stadium stands as the only major football venue in Chiang Rai Province.

Construction began in 2009, running parallel to the founding of the local club, and the facility opened in July 2012. The capacity is generally accepted as 12,000. The surface is natural grass. Floodlights allow for evening matches.

The club, now known as Leo Chiangrai United, has called this ground home since day one. A notable moment came in 2020 when they hosted Beijing Guoan in the group stage, a match that was the first ACL group game played at the venue. The ground has seen its share of drama, including a 2-1 victory over Bali United in extra time during the 2018 preliminary round.

Sponsorship has dictated the name over the years. It opened as the United Stadium of Chiang Rai, became Singha Stadium in 2017, and briefly adopted the Leo Chiangrai Stadium title following the club’s rebranding in 2021 before reverting to the Singha name. Recent floods in neighbouring Myanmar have occasionally disrupted travel to the area, but the stadium itself has remained operational.
