SSG Grounds

The ground sits in Broadhurst.

This is the home of Prisons XI Gaborone, a team that carries the weight of the Botswana Prison Service on its shoulders. Over the years, the fixture list has brought many visitors to this modest patch of turf. Notwane FC have come here, as have Matebele FC and UB Hawks.

There was a moment in 2022 when the weather turned against a scheduled Orange FA Cup match between Matebele and Tafic. Heavy rain rendered the conditions unplayable, forcing a replay on this very ground. Matebele won that replay 3–0.

Capacity figures are not recorded in the public ledger, nor is the exact year the first whistle blew here. What matters is the rhythm of the games played under the Gaborone sky.
