Stadion Jatidiri
Semarang, Indonesia
Stadion Jatidiri occupies a distinct position in Semarang not merely as a football ground, but as a multi-purpose arena.
The venue’s identity is tied to its recent transformation. Completed in late 2024 after a renovation funded by the national government, the stadium shed its previous capacity of 25,000 to settle at 18,000 following strict safety upgrades. The pitch itself, covered in Zoysia matrella grass, was rebuilt to meet FIFA standards during this same period, intended partly to host the AFF U-16 Youth Championship.
Historically, the ground has served as the home for PSIS Semarang since its inauguration in 1991. The record attendance stands at 15,674, set during a 2022 quarter-final match against Bhayangkara FC. The stadium has also been the site of significant disruption; a match against PSS Sleman in December 2023 was abandoned due to a pitch invasion, leading to disciplinary action against the visiting club.
