When the republic fell, the ground went back to being the Municipal Stadium and stayed that way for more than two decades.
The project cost around 34.8 million złoty, drawn from the city budget, from Totalizator Sportowy and from loans. A roof over the stands followed in 2017.
On 5 March 2023, 5,575 people came for the Ekstraklasa match against Jagiellonia , which finished 1-1. The previous high-water mark had been a Polish Cup tie with Legia in 2014, watched by roughly 5,100.
Jehovah's Witnesses held annual conventions here from 1999 to 2005 and again in 2010. That September the ground staged the 74th Polish senior archery championships, and in August 2011 the world junior archery championships followed.
