The ground sits in the quiet heart of Agona Swedru. Swedru Sports Stadium is the only proper space of its kind in the municipality, and that fact dictates its rhythm.
The surface is natural grass, kept green by irrigation systems installed during club-led renovations in 2025.
Accra Hearts of Oak used the venue as a temporary home during the 2017/2018 season while their own stadium underwent renovations. The ground is not just for football; it hosted the album launch for Ghanaian artist Patapaa in August 2019, featuring Wendy Shay. It stands as a civic hub, hosting political rallies and Independence Day celebrations by the Agona West Municipal Assembly.
