The pitch itself is natural grass, maintained with the care expected of a non-league venue. It has hosted significant moments, such as the Northumberland Senior Cup quarter-final against Newcastle United Under-23s in December 2021, which drew a crowd of 1,357. The stadium also serves Sunderland RCA FC, adding to its role as a hub for local football.

There is no hybrid turf technology or heating system documented here; it is a straightforward, functional space.
