Bahrain Women in Indonesia 2024/25

The **ACC Women's T20 Premier Cup** is a continental pathway tournament for emerging Asian nations. Organized by the **Asian Cricket Council (ACC)**, it serves as the primary qualifier for the **ACC Women's T20 Asia Cup**. The competition underwent a significant restructure in 2024, expanding from 10 teams in 2022 to 16 teams and changing its name from the previous ACC Women's T20 Championship. The inaugural edition of the championship was held in 2011. The current format typically involves group stages followed by knockout rounds, including quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final.

Bahrain Women's national team was established in 2022, following the launch of a domestic women's league in late 2021. They are governed by the Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF). Indonesia Women's team was established in 2016, governed by the Persatuan Cricket Indonesia (PCI), which became an ICC member in 2001. Indonesia has historically been stronger in the region, winning silver in the T20 format at the 2017 and 2023 SEA Games, and gold in the T10 format in 2023. Bahrain has struggled in international competition, failing to win any matches in the group stages of the 2022 and 2024 ACC Premier Cups.

The tournament has hosted matches between these two sides. In the 2024 edition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Indonesia Women defeated Bahrain Women by 88 runs in Match 12 on February 11, 2024. A separate bilateral series, the **Bahrain Women's Tour of Indonesia**, took place in February 2025 in Bali, where Bahrain won the 3-match T20I series 2-1. The ACC Women's T20 Premier Cup is distinct from domestic leagues as it is a continental pathway tournament for emerging Asian nations, contrasting with the elite Women's Asia Cup which features top-tier nations like India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
