About

The Denmark Women tour of Oman 2026 was a bilateral cricket series rather than a standing domestic league. The fixture featured four Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) contested between February 3 and February 7, 2026. All matches took place at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman. The series concluded with Oman Women winning all four games to complete a 4-0 victory over Denmark Women. Both national sides operate as Associate Members of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Oman Cricket was founded in 2013 and gained ICC Affiliate status in 2000, having previously held Affiliate standing since 2000. The Danish Cricket Federation was established in 1953. These bilateral contests between Associate nations serve primarily as ad-hoc arrangements for player development and the accumulation of ranking points. They are not integrated into a unified global league structure such as the World Test Championship. Oman Cricket manages a domestic Women’s Domestic League that typically includes corporate and club teams. This internal competition generally follows a format involving a group stage, semi-finals and finals. The 2023-24 season of that domestic league featured nine teams. Regionally, Oman also participates in the GCC Women’s T20 Championship, which was established in 2022. That tournament involves Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The United Arab Emirates won the inaugural edition of that regional event. Specific details regarding the structure of the Danish women's domestic league, including team counts and promotion rules, were not found. No standing competition exists for the Denmark-Oman bilateral series beyond the individual matches played during the tour. The series provided a dedicated opportunity for both squads to compete without reference to other tournaments.
