ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup Warm-up Matches 2022/23

The ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup is the premier global competition for female cricketers under the age of 19. Organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the tournament replaced earlier qualifiers to serve as the highest level of play in this category, sitting above regional qualifiers that determine spots for associate members. The event was established in 2023 after being postponed from 2021 due to the pandemic. The inaugural edition took place in South Africa, with India winning the title by defeating England. India retained the championship in the 2025 tournament hosted in Malaysia, going undefeated and securing victory over South Africa. Gongadi Trisha was named Player of the Tournament for the 2025 edition.

The format for the 2025 edition involved 16 teams: 11 full member nations with automatic entry and five qualified through regional zones. Teams were divided into four groups of four. The top three sides from each group, totalling 12 teams, advanced to the Super Six stage. In this round, teams were split into two groups of six based on initial placements, carrying forward points against qualifiers from their original group. The top two from each Super Six group progressed to the semi-finals and final. This structure allows a higher proportion of teams to advance compared to the men's equivalent, which features 20 teams in groups of five with only the top two advancing.

The warm-up matches for the 2025 tournament were held in January in Malaysia. These fixtures featured several participating nations, including New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the West Indies. Rwanda and Zimbabwe did not qualify for the 2025 main event but were active in qualifiers for the subsequent 2027 tournament. New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the West Indies have been consistent participants in the competition. The tournament operates on a biennial cycle, having expanded to include debuting nations like Nigeria and Samoa in its second edition.
