Kwibuka Women's Twenty20 Tournament (Kenya) 2023/24

The Kwibuka Women's Twenty20 Tournament is an annual cricket event held in Rwanda. It was founded in 2014 by the Rwanda Cricket Association (RCA). The competition operates outside the standard domestic pyramid, serving as an invitational regional and international fixture. Its primary purpose is to honour the memory of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi; the name 'Kwibuka' translates to 'to remember' in Kinyarwanda.

Teams are invited to participate rather than qualifying through a hierarchical league system. The field has included sides from across Africa, such as Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, and Botswana, alongside occasional visitors from outside the continent. Matches played within the tournament carry Twenty20 International (T20I) status, a designation granted by the International Cricket Council (ICC) starting in 2019.

The structure generally comprises a group phase followed by knockout semi-finals and a final. Kenya holds the record for the most titles, having won the competition four times in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2021. Tanzania is the reigning champion following their victory in the 2025 edition.

The event distinguishes itself from the ICC East Africa Women's Championship through its wider global participation and annual schedule. It also carries a specific social mandate focused on peace-building and healing, supported by partnerships with bodies like the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and Cricket Builds Hope.
