National T20 Cup (Pakistan) 2023/24

The **National T20 Cup** is Pakistan's premier domestic Twenty20 cricket competition, organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Established in the 2004–05 season, it ranks as one of the earliest professional T20 tournaments globally, predating the Indian Premier League.

The tournament operates below the franchise-based Pakistan Super League (PSL) in the professional hierarchy but serves as the primary regional domestic platform for Twenty20 cricket in the country. Teams represent geographic regions or cricket associations rather than private franchises. Examples include Dera Murad Jamali Region, Sialkot Region, Lahore Region Blues, Lahore Region Whites, Abbottabad Region, and Karachi Region Whites. These squads are managed by the PCB and composed of domestic players selected through regional associations, with the primary aim of player development and national team selection.

Participation is determined by PCB administrative decisions, and there is no promotion or relegation. The format has evolved significantly over the years. Recent editions involved up to 18 teams divided into groups, with top teams advancing to knockout stages including quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final. In the 2025–26 season, the structure featured a Qualifier stage with 10 teams in two groups.

Karachi Region Blues are historically the most successful side, having won numerous titles. Recent winners include Karachi Region Whites in 2023–24 and Lahore Region Blues in 2024–25. The competition does not have a permanent title sponsor in its official name, though it has historically been known as the ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup, RBS Twenty-20 Cup, and Faysal Bank Twenty-20 Cup.
