The North v South Women's T20 Series is a domestic cricket competition in New Zealand organized by New Zealand Cricket. It pits two regional representative teams against each other: North Island Women and South Island Women. The contest operates as a developmental fixture, bridging the gap between franchise cricket and the international White Ferns squad. Unlike the formal tiers of the domestic pyramid, it functions as a distinct inter-island rivalry.

The event features a three-match T20 series played consecutively. There are no play-offs or finals; victory goes to the side that wins the majority of the matches. Player selection relies on strict regional geography rather than franchise affiliation. North Island squads draw from teams such as Auckland Hearts, Wellington Blaze, Northern Brave, and Central Hinds. South Island teams include players from Otago Sparks and Canterbury Magicians. Selection is based on performance in the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield and Women's Super Smash.

The competition has a complex history, previously known as the Inter-Island Women's Series. That iteration was played in 50-over format as recently as the 2010–11 season. The specific T20 iteration under the current name was re-established in 2023 after a hiatus of more than a decade. Prior to the return, the teams competed in various formats, but the dedicated annual T20 series is a recent innovation. Some sources note a 2024 edition referred to as "New Zealand Women's Domestic T20" before the naming settled into the current format.

Winners of the modern T20 series include North Island Women, who won the inaugural 2023–24 edition and the 2024–25 series. South Island Women are the current champions following the conclusion of the 2025–26 season. The key distinction from the Women's Super Smash is the mode of selection. The Super Smash is franchise-based, whereas this series is regionally representative. This allows players to compete against peers from different franchises within their island group, fostering a competitive dynamic focused on national team selection trials.
