The Women's T20 Pacific Cup stands as the premier regional championship for women's cricket in the Pacific. Organised by Cricket Pacific, the tournament brings together associate member nations from the East Asia-Pacific region to compete in Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The inaugural edition took place in October 2022 in Port Vila, Vanuatu, establishing a dedicated platform for regional rivalry and development.

Unlike the men's pathway, where Pacific teams integrate directly into the global ICC World Cup qualification hierarchy, this event operates as a distinct, standalone branded regional cup. It serves as a key part of the developmental pathway, often acting as preparation for global qualifiers, though it is not a direct qualifier for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. The competition features a format that has evolved over time. The 2022 inaugural edition utilised a double round-robin structure involving four teams: Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, and Samoa.

Papua New Guinea Women have asserted their dominance in the tournament's short history. They have won all three editions held to date, securing titles in 2022/23, 2023/24, and 2025. The 2025 winner was confirmed after defeating Vanuatu and Samoa in the final matches of the tournament. While the 2024 edition expanded to six teams in Auckland, the 2025 version returned to a three-team round-robin format in Port Moresby, with the final match determining the champion. This consistent success highlights the strength of Papua New Guinea within the region.

The tournament distinguishes itself as a focused showcase for women's cricket in the Pacific, providing a separate stage from the broader men's structures.
