Bangladesh Under-23 beat Malaysia 369-132 in the second match of a three-game series in Malaysia on Saturday. The hosts took control early and never looked back, extending their series lead to three wins from three.
Bangladesh posted a commanding total and then restricted Malaysia's reply to just over a third of that score. The margin of victory — 237 runs — was larger than in either of the previous encounters, where Bangladesh won by a single run and by 153 runs respectively.
Malaysia have now lost all three matches against Bangladesh U23 in this series. Their last win came over Oman in June at home, 91-90, and since then results have been consistently poor: 105-107 and 69-158 against Bangladesh High Performance XI, followed by these two heavy defeats.
By then the pattern was clear. Bangladesh U23 have been dominant in every format of this tour, whether in close contests or one-sided affairs. Malaysia struggled to build partnerships and were left exposed when wickets fell at regular intervals.
The result means Bangladesh complete the series with a perfect record. For Malaysia, it is another difficult leg of the tour, with no points to show after three matches and a run of five losses in their last six games.
