Dayne Tristan St. Clair

Dayne St. Clair moved into the Inter Miami goal in January 2026, arriving as a free agent after his contract with Minnesota United ran out. It was the club that had made him a professional in the first place, taking him seventh overall in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft on the back of a college career at Maryland that ended with him named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2018 NCAA Division I tournament. Loan spells at Forward Madison and San Antonio FC gave him minutes early on before he settled as Minnesota's first-choice goalkeeper.

The Canadian has become a fixture of his country's squad since debuting in June 2021, with 20 caps to date. He travelled to the 2022 World Cup as backup, played through the 2021, 2023 and 2025 Gold Cups, and started for Canada in the third-place match at the 2024 Copa América. He has since been named in the squad for the 2026 World Cup.

His first season at Inter Miami has been a heavier workload than a title-winning club might expect from its goalkeeper: 19 appearances, four clean sheets and 60 goals conceded. Long before any of that, he was cutting his teeth at Vaughan Azzurri, where he won the League1 Ontario Cup in 2014, and later at K-W United, the stepping stones that took him to American college soccer and, eventually, to Major League Soccer's biggest stage.
