Dmitri Markitesov

Markitesov came through Spartak Moscow's academy from the age of six, joining in 2007 under coach Ilya Salekhov and working his way up through the club's youth sides before graduating to Spartak-2 in 2019. His first-team debut came on 27 June 2020, when he became one of the first players born in the 21st century to appear for Spartak Moscow. Over the following seasons he made nine appearances for the senior side while playing for the reserves, where he played 75 matches and scored nine goals.

In July 2022, Spartak sold him to Rodina Moscow for a fee of €150,000, keeping a 20% sell-on clause on any future transfer. At Rodina, Markitesov featured for both the first team and the reserve squad. He left on a free transfer in the summer of 2026 to join SKA-Khabarovsk on a two-year deal.

He was capped ten times for Russia's under-16 side, scoring twice, then stepped up to the under-17s, where he scored five goals in twelve appearances. A further three caps followed for the under-18s. He has not been called up to the senior national team.
