About the player
Fabricio Sanguinetti's career has been a tour of South American football's second tier, one free transfer after another, before finding his scoring touch in Colombia. Born in Rocha, the left-footed forward came through the youth system at Atenas in San Carlos, making his senior debut there in 2019 before a spell as a free agent and a return to the same city with Libertad.
Before that, Sanguinetti had spent two years bouncing between Peru and Argentina: a stint at Pirata FC brought 25 appearances and seven goals, followed by a season at Patronato in Argentina's Primera Nacional, then another at Deportivo Morón, where he made 33 appearances across league and cup football and scored four times.
Sanguinetti became a regular scorer at Internacional de Bogotá, the club into which La Equidad was rebranded under new ownership, joining on another free transfer in January 2026. He has struck 8 goals and added 7 assists in 27 league appearances there, with two further goals in as many Copa Colombia outings — a spell that has extended his contract through to the end of 2027.
Sanguinetti has never made a senior appearance for Uruguay. Across his career to date he has amassed roughly 106 appearances and 22 goals.
